The figures do not expire

A discontinued yarn's published yardage is still the number the pattern was written for. Skeinote keeps discontinued records, marked as such, with the last date the page was read.

What to collect before a swap

The pattern's skein count, the discontinued yarn's yardage per skein, and the new yarn's line and yardage. That is all the calculator needs.

What you cannot recover

If the maker never published the yardage, the record says so and the calculator abstains. Enter a length from a band you still have instead.
